Many thanks to everybody who came to the reading last Sunday
and special thanks to KC for the lovely flowers from her garden. The vase with the swimming school of fish sitting on my kitchen island entertains me every time I
walk by. Congratulations to Mardale Fortier for her new poetry book, “White
Fire”. All of us enjoyed her ice skating poems and readings by others during
the open mic session. Recently, I have been experimenting with transformational
poems and rhymed poems, particularly the types that have roots in Asia. I read my
new creations, a Gazal, a Pantoum, Haiku/Haynaku, and a Villanel. They are fun
to recite.
Two of my poems are included in the Journal of Modern Poetry 15, published by CJ Laity. I
will not be able to participate in the cram at Chopin Theater.
