Bakul Banerjee
Born near Delhi, India, Dr. Bakul Banerjee received her M.Sc from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India, and her Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland. She spent her career at scientific institutions associated with the U.S. Department of Energy while raising two daughters. For 25 years, she has written and published poetry, fiction, and essays in various magazines and anthologies in the U.S. and India. She conducts multiple activities supporting literary and community organizations. Apart from the recognitions she received, Allium Magazine of Columbia College nominated one of her essays for the Pushcart Prize in 2023. Her online writings are available on this website.
